Edutecher Study Tool: YakiToME
YakiToMe is a significant and noteworthy method education for students with disabilities who may NEED their lessons to be converted into audio. It eliminates pressure and anxiety of reading for students who are struggling or challenged by it. YakiToMe can be most influential with students who are sight impaired and those who are dyslexic. It is also a great way for so called normal student who may WANT their lesson converted into audio. These students can multitask and more proficiently complete assignments. This student can complete their lesson while walking home from school or doing chores around the house. The text to speech conversion is easily uploaded using RSS feed.
Professor Smith made it clear on the first day of class that
teaching does not have to difficult. Educators
are more successful when they offer innovative and alternative methods to reach
the students to keep them engaged. This
method also accommodates students and educators with overwhelming busy like
styles. The following is a step-by-step
YouTube tutorial of how use YakiToMe to convert text to an MP3 player.
Edutecher Study Tool: StudyBlue
With StudyBlue both educators and students can work together
making, revising and studying flash cards online. Student can interact with each other and create
virtual think tanks to explore their different studying tactics of learning. Students
and educators alike, create study guides and quizzes. This collaboration allows students to get the
most out of their study time. StudyBlue
uses a concentrated method of study which keeps students engaged with one
another at the same time more productively focusing on their individual areas
of need. The learning process is more attentive
and useful. I believe students will be
more willing to learn, be taught and study using this method as they are involved
with the design of each lesson. As well,
the educator can more efficiently access how the students are progressing. The
beauty of this website is that is can be downloaded as a mobile app. This will make study time easily accessible
for any busy lifestyle. The following is a YouTube tutorial of how StudyBlue can make studying more proficient.
