Edutecher Study Tool: aMap
aMap is free and excellent way to debate a topic in the
classroom. It allows people to elaborate
on their own ideas and state their stance on a particular subject. The student’s
ideas are mapped out in a bubble pop-up; in a step by step format as to make
sure each point is articulated thoroughly.
Educators and students alike can participate in making their respective
points. These ideas are displayed on a
running feed so that each participant can rebut and explain their own corresponding
ideas. The information shared can
ultimately be researched. Students can
grow and recreate their views and expand on their own ideas. The fundamentals of aMaps are based on reason
and rational. aMap illustrates simple debate tactic used in daily life. This
application can be easily implemented in the classroom. It encourages student who would not otherwise
participate to be actively involved.

Edutecher Study Tool: GoalBook
GoalBook helps educators, students and parent work in a partnership toward a common goal of how to best educate the students. It helps to personalize an instructive plan. It organizes and focuses on each student’s specific needs. This is an excellent tool for children with special needs who may require an IEP or an ILP. However this tool can be utilized to keep so called normal students stay on track. Parents can more comprehensively identify with and participate in their child’s learning progression, while having a perceptive understanding of the educator’s evaluation processes. This will promote brainstorming. Parents will be able to better help their children with school work at home. Everyone’s ideas will be reflected in the student’s education and goal development. Student will have a say in what is effective and valuable opposed to what is ineffective and worthless with reference to their own education. This may all sound very involved, I pleased to find that this GoalBook method was simple to use. GoalBook brings teams, and projects together simply and proficiently. The website is all inclusive and clearly explains step by step how to use it's tools.
